Located 40 miles west of Indianapolis and 35 miles east of Terre Haute, Putnam County has grown over time and continues to see suburban sprawl moving its way. Plus, the newly created Putnam County Park merges county-owned bridges with People Pathways and continues to develop a system of run, walk, skate, and bike trails around the county. Over 13 miles of paved trails are complete. For more, nearby Indianapolis hosts a wide range of amenities including the arts, concerts, museums, theater and professional sports.

Depauw, a small liberal arts college located in Greencastle, offers NCAA Division III men’s and women’s sports and a wide variety of cultural activities from art to theater. The university also offers a 480-acre nature preserve with hiking trails.
